The Fairground Association of Great Britain was founded in 1978, and is now the UK's leading club for funfair enthusiasts, with members as far afield as Australia and North America.
The main objectives of the association are to provide a focal point for those whose hobby is the travelling fair, to support the cause of the travelling showman and to promote a better understanding of fairs amongst the general public.

Founded in 1961, The Fairground Society caters for anyone with an interest in fairgrounds past or present.
The quarterly magazine, Platform is packed with articles and photographs which not only look into the history of travelling showmen, fairgrounds and fairground rides, but also keeps members up to date on the latest rides and transport to be seen on British and European fairgrounds
The Fairground Heritage Trust is a charity (Charity No 293579) regulated by the Charities Commission of England & Wales. The stated objectives of the trust are recorded as:
The acquisition and restoration of vintage fairground equipment for posterity. The trust also aims to promote the study of the fairground in its every aspect, including its institutions, social history, history of British showmen, the development of fairground amusements, mechanical rides, transport and popular entertainments and the various art forms related to the public.
The Fairground Heritage Trust is a registered company (1978359).
